OUR STORY 

Grassroots Revival began in 2020 out of a simple, prayerful desire: to make it easier for people to know Jesus and to lead them into a growing relationship with Him. From the beginning, we’ve been committed to building a church that is rooted in the Word of God, centered on Jesus, and focused on making real disciples—not just church attenders.

We are a Christ-centered, Bible-based, non-denominational church with a charismatic expression. We believe the Holy Spirit still moves today, and we value the gifts of the Spirit—including prophecy. But we also believe something deeply important: the gifts of the Spirit must be grounded in Scripture, shaped by sound doctrine, and practiced with humility and accountability. Our heart is to pursue a balanced approach—where the presence of God and the truth of God’s Word work together to form strong, healthy disciples.

Our Lead Pastor, Nick Griggs, is a Bend, Oregon native who knows firsthand the transforming power of God’s grace. After years of battling addiction, Nick was radically healed and set free by Christ in 2013. His life became a testimony of redemption—proof that Jesus still breaks chains today. Following his freedom, Nick spent several formative years ministering to youth at theCHURCH in Pinetop, Arizona. In 2019, he and his wife Chelsea felt God’s call to return home—and through much prayer, Grassroots Revival was born.

From our earliest gatherings, our heartbeat has been simple: authentic faith, real community, and true discipleship. We teach the Bible clearly on the weekends because we believe people need more than motivation—they need truth that anchors them, doctrine that strengthens them, and a faith that holds up in real life. We want believers to know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to live it with confidence.

At Grassroots Revival, whether you’ve never been to church, felt like you didn’t fit anywhere, have been overlooked, or have a long history of church involvement—you’ll find a home here. You don’t need to have it all together. You just need to be willing to follow Jesus. We exist to welcome the newcomer, champion the overlooked, honor the experienced, and show that church really is for the rest of us.

At the center of everything we do is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20):
“Go and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.”
That means we’re not chasing hype—we’re building disciples who are grounded, healthy, and growing. Whether through worship, teaching, small groups, or outreach, our goal is to help people walk into deeper freedom, joy, maturity, holiness, and purpose in Christ.
